. Lightscape/Darkscape

Ever skilled at self-promotion (and advanced self-promotion at that), here is a new exhibition I was invited to be a part of.  Yes... of course, the opening is tonight.  Is there free wine to tempt you to cross the Golden Gate Bridge after your long commute home?  Well... I can't be sure.  But I'll be there.  And all the other amazing artists.  And we'll get drinks after, like artists do.  Maybe I'll pick up a stylish smoking habit, as well.  Come on, what do you say?  It's also a charming little part of San Raphael with cobblestone brick roads and such.  Netflix streaming can't beat all that, right?

. intro/duction

With 4 weeks left in the semester, we slipped in a First Year MFA exhibition in a vacant 7 days at the Martin Wong Gallery on campus. This fleeting exhibition features free wine, and chips & dip tonight, followed by an artist talk in the lecture hall. Though, you don't need any more incentive than hanging out on a college campus on a weeknight, do you?

. Saucy Lito

Our blog 'mascot' is in a new intaglio & woodblock printmaking exhibition. And next to a room that shows what the Bay Area looks like if zapped by a miniaturizing gamma ray. (update: this room is confusing, smells like mold, & is rubbish -- stay in the gallery)

. SF Open Studios

If you haven't passed out after watching Saturday morning cartoons & eating your sugary chocolate cocobombs, come visit me at SF Open Studios this weekend.

I will be at Clara Street Studios with fellow Kala printmakers Jack Fahnestock & Dennis Johnson, as well as painters Melissa Wagner & Jerry Ververka.

There will be snacks.

. Bookworks 2008

The PCBA's triennial artist book exhibition is on display in the San Francisco Main Library's Skylight Gallery. I forgot to post this before the opening reception, so I'm afraid you missed all the free wine. But I'm in it, so wander over if you have time.
