This
month’s Book of the Month was supposed to be Haruki Murakami’s 1Q84. But that book turned out to be three books
and it’s taking a while to get through, so in the meantime I read Freedom by Jonathan
Franzen.
It’s
about a family of annoying Americans who go around being annoying to each other
and to everyone else. They go to
college, they have affairs, they drone on and on about politics, and they are colossally
annoying.
Give
it a miss.

I just finished Hilary Mantel's "Bring Up The Bodies." Now I have to wait a couple years to find out what Cromwell is up to in next book.
